My preorder confirmation email arrived 2009-03-09 21:07.
I received an update email on 2009-05-11 20:04.
I was notified that my order was processed on 2009-08-16 18:35.
The Touchbook arrived 2009-08-19 around 17:00.
I've been unable to use it on my home wifi network so far. The network uses WPA/EAP and I haven't been able to authenticate to it using wpa_supplicant yet.
(I've recompiled the kernel and the wifi driver, and now have this all working. I've also patched the GUI to support all of these features. See http://bugzilla.alwaysinnovating.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8 for the updated files.)
The keyboard was not seated tightly when it arrived. Apparently I just needed to press down firmly on it to force it to seat. (Maybe it's just some weak adhesive on the back, dunno.)
Right now the charging light on the keyboard unit is blinking yellow - what does that mean, is there an error, or is the battery full? It was steady yellow at first. I saw it turn green at one point when I had the touchbook turned on, and then shutdown, but haven't seen it again since.
(This has been explained - blinking and steady green both mean the keyboard battery is fully charged.)
The 3 magnets were all stuck together in the shipping box. I haven't been able to separate them yet. Anyone have any special tips on that? (Used a hammer on the edge of a metal table.)
I guess I should have added datestamps to each comment, oh well.
