The middle part or hinge part contains a mini PCB board that acts as the junction between the top part (the tablet) and the bottom part (the keyboard).

The middle part contains the PCB board.

To gain access to this junction you need to open the cover plate. There are no screws in this part. The cover is simply clipped to the main hinge. Inserting a small flathead screw driver into the slot adjacent the 8-pin connector, you can gently pry the cover off.

Remove the cover, inserting a small flathead screw driver into the slot.

The cover simply snaps back on.

It is recommended that you open the hinges to the full 180 degrees to make easier how to put close back the cover.
