Kernel 2.6.29
From AlwaysInnovating
In an effort of openness, we provide our kernel of release 2009-09.c. The Always Innovating kernel is based on the Openembedded linux-omap_2.6.29.bb recipe (platform Beagleboard).
You can also compile the kernel itself without OpenEmbedded by following these quick steps.
Overview
We provide a zip archive with the whole recipe folder here. Alternatively, you can apply two patches and copy the 29 needed files listed and explained below:

This is an addition to export the settings of the TI touchscreen controller.
7. Addition touchscreen-ads7846-rotation-support.patch
This adds the support of rotating the touchscreen to be in sync with the display if the screen is rotated.
8. Addition dspbridge.patch
This is the port of a working recent dspbridge to 2.6.29
9. Addition battery2-bq27200-no-error-message.patch
This removes some error messages when the tablet is not plugged into the bottom part.
10. Addition sound-headphone-detection.patch
This detects if the headphone is plugged to switch the sound output from the external speakers to the headphone.
11. Addition dss2-fix-XY-coordinates-when-rotating.patch
This fixes in DSS2 the XY coordinates upon rotating the screen.
12. Addition screen-backlight.patch
This adds the support to modify the brightness of the screen.
13. Addition battery1-tps65950-charging-management-1.patch
This adds the management of the top battery.
14. Addition dss2-fix-scaling-when-rotating.patch
This fixes in DSS2 video scaling when rotating the screen.
15. Addition dss2-export-status.patch
This exports the status of the screen.
16. Addition usb-otg-pc-connection.patch
This customizes the USB OTG when the Touch Book is plugged to a PC. Read USB OTG gadget.
17. Addition battery1-tps65950-charging-management-2.patch
This adds more management features for the top battery.

This adds aufs support for our OS architecture.
21. Addition aufs-3.patch
This adds aufs support for our OS architecture.
22. Addition //aufs-squashfs-mount-to-avoid-initramfs.patch
This is a hack to mount in the kernel the squashfs and the read/write ext3 partition and merged in aufs. This is not very clean but it avoids to have a full initramfs architecture.
23. Addition screen-backlight-accessible-by-user.patch
This allows the brightness modification by a standard user.
24. Addition dss2-blank-rotate-accessible-by-user.patch
This allows the rotation and blankness modifications of the screen by a standard user.
