Charging batteries

The Touch Book has two batteries; one in the tablet top part and one in the keyboard bottom part. If you just received your Touch Book, please charge the batteries for 6 to 16 hours while the system is ON.
Bottom battery
The bottom part has a 12Ah battery. This battery can be charged independently from the tablet. Just plug the DC adapter into the left side of the bottom part. Remember that only a 5V adapter should be used.
The single LED on the left side of the keyboard part indicates the charging status of the bottom battery:
- If the LED is steady yellow, the bottom battery is charging.
- If the LED is blinking yellow (every second) or steady green, the bottom battery is fully charged.
Tablet battery
The tablet has a 6Ah battery. This battery can be charged independently from the bottom part. Just plug the DC adapter into the bottom side of the tablet. Remember that only a 5V adapter should be used.
There is no charging LED for this battery and only software can report its status and capacity.
Notes:
- The system should be turned on to charge this battery.
- To blank the tablet screen quick press the Power button
To charge both batteries at the same time, plug the tablet into the bottom part and connect the DC adapter to the keyboard and turn on the device. This is a configuration that charges the two batteries.
