Bottom part
From AlwaysInnovating
The bottom part (or keyboard) contains the second battery, the touchpad, the keyboard and a mini PCB board to handle both the battery as well as the human inputs.
It's not recommended to remove the main board as it could be challenging to put it back. In case you need to do touch the board, read the following.
Opening the bottom part
- Flip over the device, remove the four feet, and unscrew the four screws.
- Flip over the device again and start pulling up the black part. Be careful, there are some cables plugged.
- Flip the black part 180 degrees towards you and unplug the two cables.
Closing the bottom part
- On the August and September batch, make sure that you have three plain counter-weight metal parts on the right but one plain + two cut counter-weight metal parts on the left. Those parts can be glued or double-side taped together.
- In the top left corner, make sure that the brown cable is going inside the rib otherwise it will prevent from properly closing the parts.
- Make sure the two cables are inside the ribs. Use the small tape to hold them.
- Put the black part at 180 degrees and connect the two cables. The silver pins should face the PCB board.
- Return the black part without pulling too much on the cable and insert it starting at the top.
- Before closing the part, make sure that the brown cable is not pinched by the rib. You may use a flat screw driver to help you to guide the cable.
- Close the black part and hold the device with one hand vertically on the left side.
- Put back the four screws.
- Put back the four feet.
