[13:06] <dpb> always innovating is way too slow.. http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/30/asus-targets-christmas-ice-cream-sandwich-for-padfone-launch-v/
[13:09] <DJWillis> dpb: being in bed with Google to get early access must help just a little bit ;)
[13:11] <Noume> well as much as the smartbook is delayed by now, i think Asus will be the first one to bring a device like that to market, though AI had the idea roughly a year before
[13:13] <dpb> and to me the asus one looks way sexier than the smartbook
[13:14] <DJWillis> Noume: can't dispute that but I assume AI are still working like mad on these things, often it all ends up having to happen behind the doors
[13:16] * passstab (~v@static-66-173-160-59.dsl.cavtel.net) has joined #touchbook
[13:17] <Noume> Well it might look sexier but it is a not as open as the smartbook
[13:18] * Knirch_ (fatal@debian.as) has joined #touchbook
[13:18] <Noume> i really like a device i can hack a and mess a lot with. And as far as it seems, the smartbook will be offering a lot more neat features like the dual screen or using the netoob keyboard as an accessory for your PC or smartphone
[13:19] <Noume> I really love to have one, though i doubt it will be available any time soon. Still hoping for a new message from ai on the preorder i placed on it :)
[13:19] <DJWillis> Noume: I hope AI get the hardware out, that's for sure.
[13:20] <Noume> As far as i'vee seen, the hardware is just about done, the software appears to be of major concern. Correct me if i'm wrong
[13:21] <Noume> Well i think many people here would be fine with getting the hardware now and properl working software later, right?
