Program/or whatever...

Postby xLpzx » Mon Sep 28, 2009 3:40 pm

Hi everyone,

I like what I see so far with the the touch book. I have a questions/comment/suggestion. Is there a way of using the touchbook as a huge touch screen remote for the TV. I want to be able to control the tv from the touchbook. Whatever I see on the tv I want to be able to see it on the Touchbook and vice versa...

Something like what this guy did...

Thanks!

A long time ago I used to use a program on my HP48GX calculator that could read infrared remote control codes and then assign codes to keys. It made a great universal remote for my home audio/video system. In general this isn't too tough, you just need an infrared USB dongle. But I don't recall if IrDA transmitters can be operated at the low frequencies that consumer IR remotes use.

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate your input. What I mean is I want the tablet to be a miniture version of the tv. What I see on the TV has to be exactly what I see on the tablet, and as I scroll through the tablet it has to also scroll through the TV etc...Thats basically what the guy in the video link I posted in my last message did. Only that it was with a regular PC. It would be cool to take that same concept and put it in the tablet. I want to build the ultimate home entertainment system.

Thanks!!!

You mean something like this http://mythtvnews.com/2008/03/24/full-m ... okia-n810/ ; The n810 runs an ARM processor as well.
