Postby annu » Mon Mar 22, 2010 5:02 am

As AIOS default dosent have wvdial command i have installed the wvdial pakages and dependent pakages.
As i need to connect to my 3g modem which is detected as 3g modem but was unable to dial bcoz of different dialling rules.
I am getting the following error

wvdial

--> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.60
--> Cannot set information for serial port.
--> Initializing modem.
--> Sending: AT
AT
OK
--> Sending: ATZ
ATZ
OK
--> Modem initialized.
wvdial: utils/wvtask.cc: WvTaskMan::WvTaskMan(): Assertion `getcontext(&get_
stack_return) == 0' failed.

Same for me, I had just assumed it's because Australian ISP do not conform to the US "Secret sauce".

That is because the pakage wvdial dosent exist
AIOS has takes some of the vendors id and some product id into the startup script and they wrote the dialling rules for only particular dongles. So :P its the job of AI to include the wvdial pakage as a part of kernal and release the version so that any other country user can use their country specific isp dongles for 3G connectivity
