Just to close the loose end here, the TB arrived today and is happily charging while I stare at it, using pure force of will to make time race forward (unsuccessfully)

The desktop booted up without issue on the charger and now I'm just waiting to ensure battery happiness.

I'm a student and I too have had trouble finding time to learn how to effectively use the Touchbook. I would like to sell mine. It was part of the Sept shipment, but the OS is up to date. I want to sell my touchbook which is about 1,5 month old. Im from Germany.
The touchbook has been used with care, it comes with the newest OS. I like it very much, but I overrated my Linux skills and I just dont have the time to learn embedded Linux now
I modified the power supply, instead of the original plug it now has a cable and a German plug. If you want I can take pictures, but this will take a few days.
