2011-03a android still unstable

The new Android looks nice. However, it doesn't stay up long enough to matter.

Wifi works reliably, bluetooth is still dead.

Even with careful killing of no longer needed apps, I can't get it to run for more than 10 minutes or so before it reboots. When it comes back the wifi is still dead.

This is pretty much useless for anything.

I found that disabling background syncing improves stability a little bit. But yes, even with that disabled, it's very unstable.

Thanks for your report. We didn't experience this instability with this release, I am a little surprised. Can you let me know what is the rev. of your board (B1 or C1) and the amount of RAM you have (256 or 512) ?

Bluetooth still needs to be fixed, but if you have a 512MB unit, it should work when starting Android from AIOS (but not when booting directly).

I have a B1 board and 256 MB of RAM. I would estimate that about 50% of screen presses on the home screen result in a force close or freeze'n'restart. When Android restarts on its own, as a result of a freeze, it never detects wireless networks. It only gets wireless when manually restarted. And even then, it often loses connectivity after a little while and never regains it until it is manually restarted.
