Kernel roadmap

I read the Roadmap wiki page but it only mentions userland. How is development in the kernel coming along?

Specifically, I'd like to know if/when you plan to move closer to the mainline, or at least a more heavily maintained tree. Perhaps linaro? Also, what issues are you working on?

As a secondary question, could you at least provide a status table for AI specific kernel features and their state of development? For example, columns for "included in AIOS," "under development in-house," "ready for next AIOS release," "under development by others," "submitted upstream", "accepted upstream", "included in Linaro branch 2.6.xx," "included in omap-pm branch 2.6.xx," etc. Included in that would be mainline status where applicable, i.e., EXPERIMENTAL, DEVELOPMENT, STAGING, and annotations to existing bugs trackers and/or relevant comments.

Pretty much all this applies to u-boot, too.

Basically, I'm a lot more interested in the core functionality of the platform than any Android, Ubuntu, Chrome OS or chroot tricks you may be working on. What is an operating system, or a device for that matter, with out a bootstrapped kernel? And one that takes full advantage of the platform while maintaining stability, at that.
